Beautiful 250 year old Village House in centre of Roussillon with stunning views

Family-friendly vacation home in Roussillon
La Maison Roussillon is a 250 year old traditional Provencal village house available for holiday rental. The house is located in the centre of the medieval hilltop village of Roussillon, one of the most picturesque villages in France. It is full of charm and situated close to the clock tower* and church and a short stroll from the many restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops.

Step through the most photographed archway in Roussillon and explore our beautiful village house which rambles over four floors:

Ground Floor: Entry hall, bedroom with a double bed (140cm x 200cm), large open fireplace and dressing area and ensuite shower room (shower, toilet and basin).

1st Floor: Fully-equipped traditional Provencal kitchen (cooktop and oven, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle and toaster), lounge/dining room with open fire, lounge seating for 8, dining table seating for 6, TV, DVD and CD players, separate toilet. On this floor adjacent to the living area there is also a small 'attic style' single bedroom (bed 90cm x 200cm) with low roof.

2nd Floor: Large master bedroom with a king size bed (180cm x 200cm), bathroom/laundry (large freestanding bath, shower, toilet, twin basins, washing machine and dryer).

3rd Floor: Open air roof terrace with breathtaking views.

There is also a large traditional cellar and remains of a water well below the ground floor.

Free outdoor parking is available for guests in close proximity to the property.

The scenic outdoor public pool of St Saturnin is located 10km away.

The property is equipped with high speed Wifi internet access, air-conditioning, double-glazed windows, fans and electric radiators.

La Maison Roussillon is the perfect base for exploring Provence. Situated within 30 minutes of all the Luberon's famous hilltop villages including Gordes, Bonnieux and Lacoste. Roussillon itself is a 'Plus Beau Village de France' with restaurants, cafes, galleries and shops.

The property is best enjoyed as a 2 bedroom property for 2-4 guests. However the use of the third bedroom with a single bed is also available on request for an additional fee.

*Please note the Roussillon village clock tower when operating chimes hourly 24/7, so it is not recommended you book this or other properties in the Roussillon village centre if this could be a problem for you. Most find the clock tower quaint, but some find it noisy (and in any case we supply complimentary ear plugs for guests should the noise be a problem!).
Air-conditioned accommodations at this vacation home offer fireplaces and DVD players. Rooms open to patios. Accommodations offer separate living rooms. Kitchens offer refrigerators, stovetops, separate dining areas, and cookware/dishes/utensils.

Bathrooms include showers and hair dryers. Additionally, rooms include coffee/tea makers and irons/ironing boards.

Central Rousillion but private!
The rental is a very old house right in the Center on top of the heights. Nicely renovated with charm and nicely furnished with NO plastic modern furniture. Wonderful fireplaces. All kitchen furnishings were top notch - we enjoyed the local markets and cooked often! We were concerned about the church bells but they didn’t bother us and now we miss them - stop 10pm-7am! Ok all good for normal people - for me - access and village was too steep. A lot of carrying up!

Heaven or Provence?
I’m not sure which is which but La Maison Roussillon is a dream! First, the house is even more lovely than the photos online (they are excellent). And it is equipped perfectly. The house manager, Joanna, met us and spent a good amount of time going over the intricacies of internet, heat air etc The beds/linens were comfortable and the house was spotless. It is a dream for one couple or two couples with up to two children. I hope that we will be back if for nothing else, to revisit the charm of La Maison Roussillon If you have trouble with steps, be aware that the house is built around a circular staircase. My knee twinged a bit but it was worth every step!

Summer Break
This is our second visit here, it was a good as the previous one, last year. Location is second to none. The accommodation lacks for nothing and will guarantee to provide a relaxed holiday. We will be back a third time, that's for sure.

Beautiful and unique
A beautiful town and a wonderful house. It was clean and well equipped. They even gifted us a bottle of wine. We had our 15 month old son and it worked for him. There are lots of stairs but each room has a door to close off the stairway. The roof top patio is amazing.

Experiencing life in Roussillon
A gem and the perfect spot to experience life in the village. A huge double front door, thick stone walls, winding stairs, a unique fire pit in the living room and the open concept brought together the old and the new. This was the perfect home for us and allowed us to truly live like the locals. The owners Emma and Mark, from our initial bookings, to our actual meeting, were exceptional in communicating with us, and for their honesty and sincerity. They really wanted us to enjoy their home and experience life in this beautiful village. Joanna and Paul, who manage the property, were excellent and always available to answer any questions. Joanna met us when we arrived and gave us all the information we needed, and more importantly, was available if we had any concerns or questions. My husband and I highly recommend this spot and hope that someday we can return and once again enjoy our stay in "Maison Roussillon"
