(1,006 reviews) Beautiful, elegant hotel in a great location between Bologna Centrale station (about 10 minutes on foot) and Piazza Maggiore (around 15 minutes). Ideal for exploring the city. Staff were friendly, courteous, and helpful, with easy communication in English. We were pleasantly surprised with an early check-in at 11:00 a.m. and an upgrade from a Superior to a Deluxe room, which was very much appreciated. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with a good bed and a large, attractive bathroom. Breakfast was excellent, offering good variety and quality. The on-site restaurant, The Spoon, has a lovely ambience and very good food. The hotel has a spa, gym, sauna, steam room, and Turkish bath, but access appeared limited to the late afternoon/evening, which was disappointing. We also had a blocked washbasin drain that was reported twice but not resolved during our stay.
