The nearby town of Ljungby is known for its museums and folklore heritage, and Lake Bolmen is perfect for boating and outdoor adventures.

We absolutely loved our stay at this little cottage in the woods near Ryssby! It was peaceful, picturesque, exceptionally clean, and absolutely lovely—exactly the kind of place you hope to find when you want to escape and enjoy the Swedish countryside.The hosts were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and very easy to reach, which made our stay even better.And if you’re traveling with a dog, this property is PERFECT! The cottage is tucked away in the forest with no neighbors nearby, giving your furry friend plenty of room to run, explore, and play safely. It’s set well back from the road, and even the road itself is small and very quiet, so the entire setting feels wonderfully private and relaxing.One of my favorite surprises was the beautiful mushroom-picking forest only about ¼ mile from the cottage. If you enjoy wandering through the woods and foraging for mushrooms, the location couldn’t be better—it was such a wonderful part of our stay.It truly felt like our own little retreat in the Swedish woods. I was genuinely sad to leave and will definitely be back! Five stars without hesitation!

Das Haus ist einfach wunderschön, traumhaft ruhig und gerade für Ehepaare der perfekte Ort, um Urlaub zu machen. Die Schlüsselübergabe mittels Key-Box war völlig unkompliziert und Lars-Olof und Miriam haben uns hervorragend unterstützt. Allein dafür vielen, vielen Dank! In dem Ferienhaus findet sich alles wie es auch in der Beschreibung steht: Ein großes Wohnzimmer, eine ebenso schöne Küche, ein relativ kleines Schlafzimmer mit niedrigen Betten und ein komfortables Badezimmer. Alles ist ausgesprochen sauber, liebevoll hergerichtet und gepflegt. Es fehlt an nichts. Dazu gibt es eine schöne kleine Terrasse und davor, dahinter und links und rechts ganz viel Natur und Ruhe. Die Umgebung ist für kleinere und größere Ausflüge und Aktivitäten ganz hervorragend geeignet. Ljungby, als halbwegs größere Stadt, liegt ca. 15 Kilometer entfernt, was für schwedische Verhältnisse praktisch um die Ecke liegt. Dort gibt es reichliche Möglichkeiten zum Einkauf, zum Bummeln oder Café-Besuchen. Auch sonst gibt es in der näheren Umgebung viele Seen, Naturreservate und vieles andere mehr. Da bleiben keine Wünsche offen. Es ist einfach wirklich ideal. Insgesamt war es ein sehr, sehr erholsamer Urlaub in einem richtigen kleinen Traumhaus. Typisch Småland: Wunderbar und ganz klare 5 Sterne! Wir danken vielmals und kommen gern hierher zurück!
