The room at Rustic Lodge was decent. It had been renovated and was clean. We had no complaints about the room. Breakfast was a disaster, however. I have somewhat modest expectations of motel breakfasts, but this was the worst. Apparently they set out breakfast supplies at 7 am and do not restock. So if you show up later, there is no more milk or waffle batter or hot water for the tea…? When prompted, the staff just said no. Really?!? You don’t have another half gallon of milk back there?!? If you are depending on breakfast, show up at 7 am and grab all you can. Otherwise you may be out of luck. I think they ought to offer no breakfast at all rather than just skimp around like that. And again, the poor breakfast policies tend to overshadow the decent room.
