"Due to the wildfire in Bordeaux, we changed our hotel to O’Nice and stayed for 2 nights, the location is perfect for sightseeing around the region, took us 35 mins driving to Cognac, and 40 mins to Royan. Our room was not big, but a/c was quite good in such hot weather. Parking space is generous and very secure, and the restaurant next to the hotel is always busy, we’ll give it a try next time."

"This is a former abbey partially converted to a hotel . There is an awesome cathedral on the property and the most unique musical carousel that allows you to play instruments as it turns. We had rooms with showers although there are also less expensive rooms with showers down the hall. The main commercial street with restaurants etc is a 10 minute walk. Free parking; no TVs. Extremely restful and charming."

"Absolutely wonderful property. Spaced over two buildings (note only one has Aircon), it gives a large group plenty of space for themselves if required with bonus kitchens. The communal outside area, with kitchen, dining, chill out area by the pool was wonderful and brought our group together perfectly each evening. The whole house was beautifully appointed and very clean. The pool is the nicest we've ever been to with lovely views over the fields, and the boules area was great.Catherine was a brilliant host with great communication. I would 100% recommend this to anyone."

"Room and ensuite clean. Comfortable bed and very welcome and effective air-conditioning during excessively hot spell. Very good buffet breakfast which could be eaten outside on terrace with awning when weather permitting. Small but pleasant and helpful staff. Only downside perhaps was lack of outside space to sit"

"The hotel is comfortable. The air conditioning system is effective - it kept the room at a nice, constant temperature that we could set. The pool was great - it is bigger than many hotel pools. We were disappointed with breakfast. While the food provided was really good, the pricing was, in our opinion, inappropriate. To be specific, being limited to one egg when the price of the continental breakfast is 17.50 euros feels really cheap. When we ordered scrambled eggs, we got one scrambled egg for 5 euros. I would encourage the hotel managers to reconsider their pricing if they want to increase the number of customers from Northern Europe and North America, for whom having some form of protein at breakfast is really important."
