Immediately upon arriving, I was warmly welcomed by the front desk and made to feel like a priority with their proactive and efficient help. The whole process for my check in took less than five minutes and the front desk spoke perfect English which was a breath of fresh air. Anytime I walked past the front desk, they were attentive and would greet me warmly. The location is so convenient! Everything is within walking distance and has two Hakodate food specialties Lucky Pierrot and Hasaegawa yakibentos just a few steps away. The capsules are well maintained and clean with a lock box for storage of valuables. The bathrooms were cleaned multiple times a day and my favorite part was the showers! Typically in Japanese hostels/capsule hotels, they have the same very small shower unit. But here, the showers are spacious as well as having a nice area for you to undress and store your belongings with a tiered storage unit. Overall, a wonderful experience and I will be returning on my next trip to Hakodate.

Rooms are small but far from the smallest I've stayed in in Japan. Staff are efficient and the breakfast buffet is very good.

The hotel is conveniently located to Hakodate train station as well as the tram stop. Breakfast was excellent even if limited options. The juices were fresh and rich tasting. There were unexpected seafood options such as grilled scallops on my first morning and tuna (maguro) sashimi on my second morning in addition to other Japanese breakfast staples. What was surprising was that sake (!) and ice cream was also available. I would have given the hotel a 5 stars rating if not for the fact the bed had ONE pillow! The first time ever staying at a hotel that did not provide two even if there was only one guest.

Food options- 1 convenience store like family mart for instant noodles, drinks, etc. 2 restaurants with 1 that serves buffet dinner n another that serves a la carte dishes. I bakery that closes at 5pm. Bed comfort - like the pillows and bed. Love the window that you can wake up seeing the trees outside. One of the reason i booked this hotel. Lovely park beside the hotel for morning n evening walks. Internet access - good Transport access - hotel shuttle service to Onumakoen train station. Do note timings and the last shuttle ends at 6.20pm from train station to hotel. If u like quiet n nature, the hotel is good. The hotel is popular with guests who play golf cos there is a golf course next to it. Onsen within the hotel and have to pay 150yen daily upon check out n it’s not in the cost of hotel reservation. Have to travel out if u want more eg. eating places n places of interest. Good for 2-3 day stays.

Nice scenic location with easy walking to Hakodate Ropeway and Red Brickhouse shopping and to walk along ocean.
