“The picture and description do not tell the story. The building has large common spaces with abandoned home items . U climb 5 flights of stairs to the accommodation. Check in was easy. The accom is set up on three levels of a cuboid accessed by a narrow metal almost dangerous spiral staircase. The sofa bed etc on the lower level are old and not very clean looking. The bathroom was falling apart and had a smell to it. The kitchen is a tiny alley where one couldn’t really do much. The kitchen……

“The rooms were very spacious and clean and the beds were vety comfortable. Everybody was so kind and helpful and the breakfast was delicious. My only regret was not being able to stay another night as we were traveling to Assisi the next day. The locat to Lucca was also perfect and tge drive into the walled city was less than two minutes. I can't say enough great things about our hostess and her mom. They we absolutely sweet and wonderful people. The next time, I will use La Chiuso Delle Monache……
