Very happy with this property for our family. Not the most up to date but really was just a place to sleep and take a nice hot shower and spent most of our day exploring San Francisco. Pros: free parking, felt very safe w gated parking. Close to all the Wharf activity, all within walking distance. Can walk to pier 39, Ghirardelli square, Alcatraz pier, exploratorium, Coit tower, just an overall great location and felt very safe. The cable car is just around the corner, again walkable. There is the Big City Bus Tour right in front of Wharf inn but honestly felt it wasn’t necessary since everything is walkable. You just have to plan out the visit. For example, we walked 5-10 minutes to pier 39 to see the sea lions, had breakfast at the French crepe place on pier 39, then 15-20 minute walk to exploratorium and then 15 minute CLIMB up to Coit Tower. No joke of a climb just fyi. Then we continued down to Chinatown which was like a 15 minute walk, then finally caught the cable car back up to Fisherman’s Wharf. If you have a car, again it’s great to have the free parking. 4 out of 5 days we used the car: went to Muir Woods, Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Park, Calaveras Giant Trees to see the Sequoias ( 3hrs but so worth the trip to see the massive trees). Overall would stay here again. Ask for the rooms in the back to avoid the street cleaning noise tho! Thankful for reading other reviews to ask for room in the back. Front desk clerk was awesome too! Overall a great experience!
