"Manuela is so friendly, accomodating & helpful! We enjoyed a few walks into Mindo center from the location & even from Mariposa Butterfly back. It feels safe, convenient & authentic. We enjoyed some lemongrass tea from the garden (on invitation to use the garden fruit & herbs) The Yumbosa Chocolate tour in town is a treat as well. Thank you!"

"Daniels place was absolutely amazing! Everything from when we arrived to when we left was taken care of. There is a guide on site that takes you exploring all over the area and is an expert in all the wild life. All meals are also taken care of, home cooked and absolutely delicious. The house is very charming and you can tell a lot of work has been put in it to making it feel like home. We cannot wait to stay at Daniels place next time we're in Ecuador!"

"We loved our one stay. Had some trouble with no hot water but they fixed it within an hour. Would have been nice to have a fan since we could not open the windows due to rain and bugs. The pool was nice and warm. Breakfast was great the next day! Perfect location and very accommodating staff!"

"Important: This hotel is now called the Tagara. It is tough to find things in Ecuador and having the wrong name on the signs does not help. This locale is beautiful, the pool gorgeous, and the staff, especially the general manager, Bernard, are wonderful. But this is more of a corporate retreat in style. However, a great escape from Quito or a great place to spend a night when making the drive from the coast to Quito. For Westerners I think the nightly stay with included meals is a fair price....

"I honestly choose a resort, but I accidentally choose this area. However, I would recommend for those who are low budget travelers but who are willing to take a break and rest in their amazing hot springs. They do have hiking trail, but it is the best not to go in the midst of rain. You will slip and get yourself all muddy. I learn that that hard way. "This hotel was second to none. Comfortable big beds, delicious food and reliable wifi. I love how they fill the bird feeders in the morning so you can see lots of birds from the bedroom sliding doors or the dining area. Margarita went above and beyond for me, from organizing taxis to helping me organize how to make the most of my time in Mindo. Her staff were all so friendly and helpful and genuinely hope you have the best time during your stay. Can’t say enough good things about this place! "
