San Sebastian is lovely.

Not in the town, need to walk 10 minutes downhill into town and beach, which is lovely. Quiet, big beds, trying to hard with now dated designery furniture. Pool was closed, the walk back up the hill is not for older people. You need to take ( inexpensive) cabs back into town. Better for a convention or business stay. I think it was overpriced, and the breakfast was huge and fantastic , but at 20 euro extra, it was also pricey. Again, better for the business crowd. San Sebastian was lovely, but altho comfortable we did not find this a " wow " experience. The decor was very 1990's -early 2000's fake designer, the view was or a road, and some trees. Nice safe area, but not what I would call exciting, easy to walk into town and see the wonderful beach and town.
