The room was great, and so was the view. The only downside was that there isn’t a front desk area to check in or ask for help. Upon our arrival a security guard pointed to my name on his phone, left for a few minutes and brought back a key. We stayed for 4 nights and no one came to the room to ask if we wanted our sheets or towels changed. Besides that, the restaurants food was also good, however on our third day I get very sick from a breakfast we had. I am more than certain it was the eggs (if you’re coming from the states be aware, dairy products are not pasteurized out here) overall though I say the experience was a 4/5 for our first time here.

We refused to check in and had to find other local accommodations. The directions were off by 1 mile, requiring getting locals to help find the place. When we got there we found 1) No way to secure our belongings, since door locks were not working, 2) no A/C in the main rooms and 90 degrees without fans, 3) Open access from the public beach, 4) cockroaches, 5) bad neighborhood without the listed local restaurants and shops, 6) Poorly maintained pool, barbeque, and other amenities. Host responses were slow and unhelpful. We are dealing with Expedia for a refund.
