When we arrived, we waited for 2 hours for a room that was basically an attic. Every time we went up to the front desk to check the status of our room, they said it was being prepared and they would let us know when it was ready. We asked about 4 times and they finally said it was ready (they do not let us know, we had to keep going up to them). Now for the “room”. Bellhop helps us with our luggage to the 6th floor (our room is on the 7th) and tells us to climb up the steps, which were very steep and narrow. He helps us with our bags to an attic looking room with crumbs on the counter, blotches on the sink and toilet, and feathers on the floor. Look up on the ceiling and there’s a whole bunch of feathers like there was a nest. Front desk was very polite and moved us to a superior room on the other side. Another bellhop helped with our bags. Customer service was wonderful! We had an excursion one day and did not get back to the resort until late, which caused us to get to the buffet around 9. Even though there were waiters there, no one asked if we wanted water or drinks. We had to go up to the bar to get our drinks. Overall, I would give the resort a 2.5-3 out of 5.

Terrible experience!Nothing speaks Presidential Or VIP! This place lacks entertainment,internet(worst wifi ever), food selection and customer service when it comes to accommodating! We had an emergency in the kids room due to a big water leak and were told they be moved to a 1st floor in building were we were by 3:30pm. When I went they had a room ready in total opposite side and far from us. So i was told to go back later so they could accomodate in our building. It was 5:27pm and they had another excuse and that a new room in our building and 1st floor was free but was being cleaned. I got upset and left to my room and requested later the manager who came with another story that they had the room ready but in the 2nd floor. Lies after lies! She was non sympathetic to the situation nor went out her way to accommodate the situation. Not even offer a credit nor apology when it was her staff's mistake! She will accommodate english only speaking people! I requested a higher up manager and she said no one was available. Next day no other manager came and apologized. This place has the wrong name! Only friendly people are Eddy at bar and other bar staff, Felix Sanchez and Aneudy at bell boys and Jennifer in restaurant reservations. But that manager lady sucks! And reception people are friendly but are lost! They do nothing to accomodate your requests. I do recall a rep she has curly hair and light eyes who did make one accomodation. Other than that this place sucks!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about my experience at Viva V Wyndham Samaná. Celebrating my birthday here was everything I had hoped for and more. The resort itself is absolutely beautiful, with breathtaking views, a relaxing atmosphere, excellent food, and a staff that truly makes you feel welcome from the moment you arrive. The highlight of my experience was working with the amazing event coordinator, Federica Natale. From our very first conversation, Federica was professional, kind, organized, and incredibly attentive to every detail. She listened to my vision, offered thoughtful suggestions, and made sure every aspect of my birthday celebration was executed flawlessly. On the day of the event, everything came together perfectly. The décor was beautiful, the setup was elegant, and every detail reflected the care and dedication Federica put into making my celebration unforgettable. She went above and beyond to ensure that not only I, but all of my guests, had an incredible experience. I truly felt celebrated and cared for, and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to mark such a special occasion. My family and friends are still talking about how wonderful everything was. The memories we made at Viva V Wyndham Samaná will stay with us forever. The installations,the food, the beaches, the staff were incredible amazing and helpful good people. Unfortunately the rooms were so old and humidity , broken furniture, dust everywhere, bad conditions, telephone , tv , air conditioning not working even after repair, the towels were very very old and uncomfortable and looks like very dirty even after the laundry. We got updated and pay more and after 2 days We got better room. It is really very pitty the rooms conditions in general. I would like come back if the rooms conditions got better.
