Incredible scenery. The property is lovely and in a spectacular landscape of ocean views and high altitude vineyards. We also stayed at Reid's Palace in Funchal, which is historic and lovely, but Quinta do Furao was our favorite.

Excellent Hotel. Very friendly staff. Very easy access to downtown. Took us 10 minutes to walk to downtown cable car site.
