"Gorgeous property, highly recommend. The only thing lacking (a little, not a reason to pass on this beautiful property) - but breakfast is included from 830 to 1030. We got there at 9 and many items were out. No eggs no bacon and some pasties with empty plates."

"The Pianelle Resort in heart of Sassi Caveoso was so convenient to so many sites and restaurants nearby. The view as well immediately at the doorstep was breathtaking. The room was spacious and luxurious with exposed stone walls and ceilings which provided an immersive experience if staying in the caves of Matera. The breakfast options too were delicious and highlighted the local produce and cuisine. We had an amazing 2 nights and would definitely return. "

"This resort is about 15 minute drive from the historic district of Matera. I had stayed in the center of town in the other cities we visited in Puglia. I liked the quietness of this location. The room was elegantly furnished with high arching ceiling. The staff was excellent and the breakfast was great. "
