"I didn't opt for breakfast but will next time, unfortunately my car got broken into when I parked overnight in the disability parking bay with my disability Blue badge. It was a shock to to see the damage in the morning and the police were quickly in attendance and per CCTV cameras recording everything in the car park. I would most definitely book the hotel again in the future and would recommend it highly."

"With the one exception, everything about the hotel is excellent and being so close to the city centre and railway station is why we chose it. This is why I we have rated the hotel highly! One huge problem is the close proximity to nightclub life. Having chosen to pay the extra and have a minster facing room, my wife and I weren't aware of a nightclub directly facing us on the opposite bank of the river. Music and shouting from this venue was present all weekend well into the early hours, and on the Sunday when you would expect it to be quite, it kicked off at nine in the evening, finally becoming quite at 3 o'clock in the morning. If it is a quite relaxing weekend you want, I suggest you don't stay here. Ours was completely spoilt. The staff are fully sympathetic on this issue and have made complaints to the council themselves to no avail. I wish them well with any further attempts that can be made to quell this nuisance."

"Only stayed one night unfortunately but will definitely return. Staffs are very helpful and friendly; great breakfast; bedroom lovely and enjoyed the bar. We would have eaten at the restaurant but only one vegan option on the menu so are elsewhere and the gym is good as long as there are few people in there at the same time. Great location in the center, just not the easiest to find."

"There are two things I did not like. 1. The mattress was very uncomfortable. I woke every morning, in pain all over; feeling like I’d been mugged and beaten up. 2.Getting in and out of the bathtub/shower was hazardous. I have arthritis in my hips and knees; I had problems raising my leg(s) high enough clear the side of the tub. The bath mat in the tub did little to prevent slipping. "

"Breakfast room quite small for size of hotel. Queues at key times. Cooked breakfast buffet in another room and separated by stairs, not so good when carrying a hot plate. Having said that, the offering was very good and piping hot."

"The Milner is missing the essential : a Good bed a good mattress and good cushions . Also could hear the noise next door train station due to poor window quality . So overall what I think about hotel negative I had a bad night and didn't sleep well . will never come back"
