The people in Bali are friendly, but the staff at this resort went out of their way to make sure my stay was phenomenal. Nothing was too much bother for them. From initial greeting by the team at reception, to waves and personal greeting of ‘hello’ every time I passed the restaurant, to the housekeeping staff chatting to me at my villa when they came to clean. The villa was beautiful. Well kept, clean, and the gardens and pools were stunning. A little corner of paradise. The gardens in the resort are gorgeous. Flowers, plants, and animals - all meticulously taken care of by a team of gardeners. The resort is remote, which is why I chose it. It’s on the outskirts of a small town that you can walk to - in fact one of the team took me and some other guests on a nice walk around the town that you can book at reception (free of charge). The restaurant is good too. It was quiet when I was there, but the food and drink were tasty. It’s about 40-45 mins to Ubud depending on traffic. They have a driver and shuttle car that goes between the resort and Ubud centre three times a day. My driver was Wayan. He was great. Extremely friendly, good driver, good tour guide. His English was pretty good too. I also booked him as a driver to take me on a couple of tours which were fantastic, and he then drove me to my next hotel too. Sehr ruhig. Sehr gutes Essen und unglaublich freundliche Angestellte. Der Ort Sebatu ist sehr authentisch, kaum Tourismus. Un agradecimiento especial a Ika y Deva por su amabilidad, quienes nos hicieron sentir muy cómodos y muy bien atendidos.
