When I was a kid, my grandma lived across the street from a small convenience store and, looking back, going there with my brother alone as kids is one of my most cherished childhood rites of passage. My parents used to give us a couple bucks and let us get a treat on our own. I was able to give these same memories to my daughter with that 7-11 after long days of city exploration and fun."
