Had a wonderful 10 day stay!! It was walking distance to everything or to transportation. Room was clean and had heat/ac. Loved the heated and self flushing/cleaning toilet! Hotel had a restaurant on site and the food was amazing! The staff was super nice and helpful. Only suggestion would be to remove or deep clean stained carpet in hallway. Other than that it was awesome and would definitely stay again!

I like the emplacement because it was quite, the staff working there was nice and helpfull... The publics transports very close. A market and some shops very close too and many banks (10 minutes walk) 2 subway stations... Thanks it was very nice to be there The only negative things : not enough place for closers and small room, even if it was clean !

For Americans new to South Korea, expect hotel rooms to be smaller than what you are used to. Hand Picked Hotel is no exception. Then again, the Hotel rates are far lower than in the USA. If you’re expecting a 4star experience and room sizes, book a Five Star Hotel. I would give a 4 star to the staff, only because I ran into a situation where no staff were present when I accidentally locked myself out of my room. Apparently the young reception crew were out back taking a break together. When I found them, and asked for assistance, they said they were taking a break and will be back in about 5 minutes. In all other instance, all the staff, from doorman to cleaning ladies were curtious and helpful. The hotel itself seems old and run down. We had a false fire alarm due to the elevators malfunctioning. Apparently water had flooded the elevator shafts. Then one of the two elevators the hotel had was shut down for the remainder of our stay. I will chalk it up to the rainy season. Our stay at Hand Picked Hotel was at the end of July.

I would not recommend this hotel. First of all, the Western room photos advertised on the booking platform are misleading and do not match the actual rooms. The listing only showed photos of a king suite and a twin room, while the room we booked was advertised as a Standard King Room. However, when we checked in, we found that there was no bed frame, just a mattress on the floor. The room was also extremely small, with barely enough space to open a suitcase. To make matters worse, we found blood stains and what appeared to be mould stains on the bedsheets. The towels and bathrobes were old, worn out and ripped. When we raised our concerns with the receptionist, communication was very difficult due to the language barrier. We were told that the room shown in the booking platform’s photos was actually the King Suite, which included a proper bed. We were then shown a larger room as an upgrade option, but the overall quality was just as disappointing. The balcony was covered in bird droppings, and we were told it would be cleaned before we upgraded. We had originally booked a five-night stay, but the experience was so disappointing that we had to book another hotel in the middle of the night and leave, despite having a non-refundable policy with our booking. The hotel is also very inconveniently located, making it difficult to get around. Do not trust the photos advertised on this listing. The actual rooms are nothing like what we expected, save your money.

Just okay…

Pros: Staff is very kind, helpful & English speaking, the cafe in the basement is nice, the maids come in to change your towels, make your bed, take your trash out etc every day, eco friendly shower products, airport bus Cons: Location: 20-30 minute taxi ride to popular spots in Seoul, 40-50+ mins with the subway or bus, scuffs on the walls and furniture, room would get up to 80+ degrees even though the heat was turned off and the curtains were closed, no airflow unless you open a window which I often had to do to cool the room down but then the street noise was very loud and disruptive, toilet didn’t flush very well, yellowing grout in the shower, dirty screens/windows, rips and holes in the towels and bedding (the strings in the bottom of our duvet covers where they’re supposed to tie together were completely ripped off, there was a loud electrical crackling coming from the wall by the door one night too ?… could be a nice hotel it’s just run down and needs some refreshing

주차 편하고 객실도 깔끔하고 직원들 친절하고 전체적으로 다 좋았어요. 다만 기대했던것보단 객실 크기가 작아서 약간 아쉽네요. 침대랑 테이블 외에는 여유공간이 거의 없다고 보시면 되고요. 캐리어 큰거 가져가면 펼칠 공간이 안나올 것 같네요. 그래도 씻고 자고 하는데는 전혀 지장 없었고 잘 머물고 갑니다.

우선 너무 시끄러워요. 차소리 부터 방과 방 사이에 소음이 너무 크게 들려서 자는데 넘 불편하네요. 방도 너무 작아서 일본 호텔 온 느낌입니다. 가격이 다른 일반 호텔비해 좀 저렴하다는 점 빼고는 크게 장점은 없어요
