Our check in experience was not typical for a VRBO property. We were coming by taxi and were told to pick up the keys at another location and that there was no one to meet us at the apartment . Also as a group of 4 adults, we were only given one key which made any separate outing difficult. We were told there was a passcode for the apartment door, however, access to the building needed a key. The apartment should be numbered in order to find it when no representative is going to be present on your arrival. Portugal is a lovely city and the unit is walking distance to several restaurants, cafes and the town square. It's quiet and filled with the sound of birds in the morning. I enjoyed having my morning coffee sitting out on the balcony. It's an easy walk to the historic district and all the major sites in Setubal.
