"The room was nice overlooking the lagoon. But it had a smell. A musty smell everytime we walked in. I am not sure what it was from. The breakfast was good. There was a good selection of items and the staff was helpful. I wo up avoid the busy time. It’s crazy! Overall our stay at the hotel was nice. I wish the person who checked us in was more attentive and explained where things were and such. Instead, e had to figure out on our own that we needed towel cards, where the towels were and such. While we waited for our room, I watched other employees take guests around and show the things and explain the resort. So make sure you get someone more helpful."

"We stayed at Laila for one night at the end of our trip to Seychelles and it was perfect! The location is wonderful - right on the beach, with access to beachfront cabanas and restaurants. The hotel was wonderfully maintained and so serene. Highly recommend during your trip to Mahe!"

"We loved our stay at the Crown Beach Hotel, and really couldn't recommend it highly enough. Super comfortable beds, a beautiful view (upgrade to a deluxe sea view room, it's definitely worth it!) and wonderful attentive staff. Ideal if you're looking for a quiet and relaxing few days away. On many occasions we had the beach to ourselves. Perfect!"

"We had an amazing stay. Brand new hotel, opened in 2026. Extremely well designed. Staff were so kind. Pool was perfect with our little girl. The room extremely clean. We loved the tasty coffee and tea, refilled every day. Seriously, do not hesitate to stay at cote dor retreat. Parking was huge. Five stars!!!"
