"We had another very good stay at this location. Overall, the Crowne Plaza hotels in the UK are generally well maintained, have very friendly and helpful staff, and one of the best perks is the excellent breakfast offerings and times that go well into the late morning (which is especially helpful at the weekend when you need that little bit of extra rest!) We’ve now stayed in rooms of every size/level at this hotel and it does feel like the building is getting a bit worn. Room was a great size, even though we booked the most basic/standard room, with a nice comfy mattress. The pillows however were very soft, which made a difficult sleep across the three nights. The bathroom is also getting a bit worn, the shower had mould staining and the shower cabinet itself is really small and awkward - I’m a plus sized, but short, woman and if I were any larger or taller, I think I’d struggle getting in and out of the awkwardly curved shower doors. We also had an issue with neighbors smoking in the hotel, and while the staff were very helpful in immediately addressing the issue, the smell lingered and we weren’t offered another room or some other thoughtful consideration/compensation. Overall, we had a very nice stay at a nice sized and nicely located hotel and will likely stay again in future!"
