"I needed an extra quilt. However, the front desk demanded I pay 5,000 yen for it. (Not a deposit). It is both surprising and disappointing to be subject to such a demand in Japan, a country that prides itself on hospitality called "omotenashi", which means wholeheartedly looking after guests. I will definitely revisit Kyushu but I will not stay at this hotel again."
