"Did not have a great time at this place. It is more suited to retired old Japanese people who want to go to the onsen. Felt a bit uncomfortable as we were the only westerners there but people were friendly. While the view was good from our room, the beach was dirty and not maintained. If the hotel would have paid someone to clean the beach up every morning it would’ve been a better experience."

"Had an amazing stay for two nights, enjoying the stunning views, luxurious pearl bath, and the impeccable service. The breakfast buffet had many delicious options and dinner at the Seahorse was exceptional. The only downside were the stairs between the main lobby and the harbour view building, which were challenging for my elderly parents."

"Beautiful and well maintained property, I really felt like I was in some Mediterranean country and not Japan. We had the course dinner at their French restaurant which was excellent, Michelin Star quality. It’s a bit tricky to get to but if you have a car this is a great place spend a few days and decompress. "

"Nice property and its surroundings. It’s great place to get away from the big city life. Quite Zen like. The location is far from Nagoya station I might add. Nevertheless it’s a nice place."

"This ryokan is good value for money. Having stayed in several ryokans, this ryokan is average. Service was good and facilities were decent with an interesting Pearl Onsen.
However, the kaiseki dinner was a bit disappointing. Paid extra for the Matsusaka beef menu but the dinner was average and not worth the money paid.
If you want to stay here, I would recommend to just take the basic dinner package. "

"Great hotel to stay at in Toba. Location is close to the train station as well as other activities including the Mikimoto Pearl Island and the Toba Aquarium. Staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. There was a variety of food at the buffets and delicious. I would recommend this hotel to others. "

"It's just 3 minutes walk from the nearest train station. There are shops surrounding for lunch and tea but not dinner n breakfast. The hotel sells instant food at a very reasonable price. Friendly staffs and beautiful environment."

"The hotel is in a nice location near the water, at the end of the train line at Kashikojima. There aren’t many food options in the small village. It seemed very quiet at the hotel and some of the surrounding properties seemed abandoned, so it felt a bit dated and not a popular area anymore. We liked the peace and quiet, but this might not be to everyone’s taste. The staff were very friendly and helpful and we were given a large room with plenty of space. "

"The hotel was exquisite! Comfortable beds and modern decor. Extremely comfortable. We got breakfast with our stay and we're so glad we did. What an amazing spread! The only thing lacking was juice. Highly recommended!"

"Wonderful service & food. Multi course traditional dinner & breakfast. Our waitress/maid for our stay, Ota-San was fantastic. Access to private onsens as a couple was nice. They also provided yukayas for us to wear on property. Amazing ryokan experience!"

"Upon our arrival, an employee greeted us and helped with luggage. The public area was elegant and displayed so many beautiful artwork and antiques. Being at the top of a hill and by the ocean/bay, the view was gorgeous especially during cherry blossom season. The breakfast buffet offered a good selection mainly Japanese food including pacific lobster miso soup. There was a spacious coffee/tea ( snacks) area with the same beautiful view. "We had a very pleasant stay - the staff were kind, the room was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We loved the breakfast buffet and the closeness to the train station. "
"Beautiful ryokan within walking distance to Ise Grand Shrine. Exceptionally clean and quiet room with tatami and private outdoor bath. We utilized the amazing interior private onsens for a relaxing soak. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and served by a very polite, gentle spoken and attentive young gentleman. There is no better customer care than in Japan."

"Hot spring type bathroom on the 5th floor is good. Ocean view from room is great. We enjoyed dinner at a Izakara style restaurant which is 10 minites walki distance from the facility."
"Our stay was very special. The owner and manager were welcoming and helpful for every need and question we had. The hotel is spacious and stylish. The grounds are beautiful, surrounded by lush greenery and quiet, with birdsong out our window in the morning. "
"I thought I had arrived at a resort with its palms, high rise apartments and manicured gardens. Definitely a holiday destination for the Japanese people. Spacious and comfortable with a microwave. As it was not close to Toba, having a car and the microwave allowed us to be more independent, not relying on eating out. The supermarket had plenty of takeout options. "

The breakfast buffet offered a good selection mainly Japanese food including pacific lobster miso soup. There was a spacious coffee/tea ( snacks) area with the same beautiful view. Our room was a tatami, sofa set, and bed combo and was very spacious. It offered coffee beans with a mill and various tea bags. We didn't use our room bath as we bathed in the onsen which providedmany amenities. The room also provided a bag of amenities as well.
Overall, we had a lovely 2-night stay and would like to have stayed a bit longer just to relax in the room."

"All of the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Not everyone spoke english, but they all did their best to assist us. Rooms were quite and cozy. And its the best breakfast buffet you'll ever experience."
"Lovely hotel with friendly staff. The onsens are an additional nice touch. The downside is how far it is from the downtown area, but the shuttle makes that a non issue, also the bus drops you off right at the door. A convenience store nearby is also good if you need late night food."
"Excellent service and spacious room. The Onsen is really great and the food is high quality. Once the shuttle bus from the hotel pick you up, you basically have to stay at the property for the hot spring and food. "
"Wonderful service & food. Multi course traditional dinner & breakfast. Our waitress/maid for our stay, Ota-San was fantastic. Access to private onsens as a couple was nice. They also provided yukayas for us to wear on property. Amazing ryokan experience!"
