Nice hotel, but not great. As an experienced traveler I wasn’t happy having to carry luggage up around 20 marble steps to get to the reception desk. They have plenty of space to install a ramp or a lift. The WiFi was horrible. It would connect but then you needed to authenticate with an email address or it would disconnect. It was very hit or miss on sending the authentication email. Tried multiple phones, devices and emails. I got lucky with connecting 1 phone. The hotel was clean, but sterile. Nice breakfast in the morning, but the hotel offered no other services. The reception staff were very nice, efficient and friendly. I would put it in the Same class as Holiday Inns in the US. It probably was very nice back in the day, but has not kept up with changing times.

Beautiful historic hotel. Gorgeous common spaces and pool. Plenty of beach toys (thank you!).
Staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. I’d definitely stay again.

The property is located at the top of a small cove/bay. It is easy enough to walk down to the sea front and there are a couple of bars and places to eat.
The beach is a mix of stones and sand, but a shallow incline into the sea, which offers some great snorkelling opportunities. Plenty of fish, who don't seem that bothered by humans so you can swim along with them.
The hotel offers a great breakfast and the restaurant is perfect for an evening meal if you have had a pool day and don't fancy going down to the beach outlets for dinner.
The pool area is well stocked with beds and shade and there is a pool side bar if you get thirsty.
The staff really couldn't do enough for us and we had a great time here.
