This is a charming old world hotel in the town. It is close to all the major sites. The bathroom was modern and had plenty of hot water. The breakfast was good. It was roomy and comfortable.

Beautiful hotel in Centre of old town Sienna
This hotel is located in an old building in the centre of old town Sienna, The Hotel and rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable with the feel of a home rather than a hotel. The room had great facilities and a beautiful four poster bed. The staff were really friendly and helpful recommending things to see and do in Sienna. The breakfast was really good too

Amazing location
We had a great time in Siena, partly because the hotel was so wonderfully located right bang in the centre of the city. The staff at reception were super kind and helpful but we didn't experience th same efficiency at breakfast time as there is only one person serving multiple tables of customers and unable to cater to everyone's need in a timely manner. The room was comfortable, albeit very noisy from what appeared to be an outside concert on Friday and Saturday (beware if you're staying in Siena over the weekend) - however the hotel provides earplugs for comfort. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean, toiletries (shampoo and soap) were provided and windows had shutters which were great for sleeping. The guys are reception helped us book tickets to the opera and were very patient giving us directions for cheaper parking and key tourist attractions. We found them very personal and are grateful for their assistance. The hotel is not easy to find, however once you do, you realise how good the decision to book it was. The key to find the hotel is to look for the florist at number 15. I would stay here again but perhaps not drive again as parking can be expensive near the San Francesco Piazza - best to park at the train station for €2 per day, though it is a longer walk back to the hotel (about 45 mins, depending on pace). Breakfast was good, lots of bread of all sorts, cold meats, juice and coffee/tea in addition to fruit. Thanks for a great stay!

Nice hotel with very nice staff. The room we booked was too hot and the AC didn't work very well. The hotel staff quickly upgraded us to another room that was much more comfortable and had a wonderful view of the tower from the window (it is the room with the blue bedding and canopy). The bed was a little hard for our taste and the pillow a bit flat, but overall it was quite nice, and a great price. The location was fabulous for easy access around Siena. We very much enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

Good Location but bad vibe from staff. The corpulent man at the desk during the day was surly. The woman at breakfast was merely officious. The pictures look better than the reality.

Great location easy walk to all sites, restaurants and gelato! . Lovely characterful room, a little noisy. Could hear the neighbors come and go and some street noise, being so close to the Piazza. Would stay here again however and recommend to friends..

Clean hotel with helpful staff. Just a few minutes walk to Piazza del Campo. Right in the center of everything; shopping, restaurants... Felt secure with a locked outer door to the hotel area in addition to our room door. Breakfast was good. Typical European meal with baked goods, cereal, yogurt, fruit... Loved Siena. Beautiful area. Enjoyed the less hectic atmosphere after several days in Rome.

Perfect hotel for a stay in Siena!
The hotel location was perfect! The staff was very helpful and kind. Great breakfast included with the room. The room itself was surprisingly spacious, and the bathroom was too. The bed wasn't terribly comfortable, but pretty good for Europe. I'd highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Siena!

Prime location
Was a little hesitant at first due to the mixed reviews. Lovely comfortable room. It was very warm but had sufficient AC. Unfortunately the AC beeped all night and started to drip on the floor. The second night we stayed there was a lot of noise from the courtyard. Strange entry but as long as you have the address it's easy to find. They should put some light in the courtyard where the elevator is though. That was a little creepy at night. Breakfast was quite decent. Service was helpful and pleasant and even printed up our train tickets for us. Cant beat the location. Its on a main street close to the major sights and bus station.

Super convenient Siena central location.
Great budget hotel, right in centre of Siena, and instantly out onto busy main shopping street. Main (famous) square 60 seconds walk, lots of nice restaurants, shops etc. Parking arrangements a little tricky, but this is true of all hotels in central Siena, Florence etc. Need to park a few mins away and walk back in, but you could drive to just behind hotel and unload bags etc.

siena palazzo
this is no "palazzo"; just the last story of a building, adapted to be used as a hotel. Location was great, 15 seconds from the Piazza del Campo. Car access is impossible; the instructions they give you may be correct but are practically impossible to follow. You are better off taking a taxi (if you have luggage), or, better yet, travel with a backpack. The photos of the rooms you see on the website can be misleading. A few rooms are like that but most of them are...disappointing for something advertised as a "palazzo". Worse was the fact that in order to get to the upper level of the hotel we had to endure a strong sewer odor that lingered in the lift too. I also have to mention that the hotel clerk was borderline rude - hope they fire him by the time you het there!

Really great place to stay in Siena
We stayed two nights at this hotel in Siena. The room was large, the hotel staff kind and helpful with everything from travel advice to restaurant reservations. The location is fantastic in central Siena, and we were able to walk to see all the important local sights. The entrance to the hotel is through a flower shop, which is actually lovely when it is open. Our only negative comment is that the small courtyard where the elevator is to ascend to the hotel lobby smells really bad, like an overflowing sewer. Not horrible, and perhaps a temporary distraction from the overall great stay. If we return to Siena we would stay here again.

Good hotel, almost in the middle of Siena.
We were here for three nights and found the hotel great. If you don't want any noise, make sure you ask for a room away from the street. Finding the entrance is a little tricky and once you get used to the slow elevator, it's all good.

Not great
Great location, nice room. Entryway is a pigsty, bar downstairs really, really loud and open to 3 am. Terrible breakfast. Staff changes all the time and goes off duty at 8 pm. You can't get to the reception or your room without walking up or down stairs and there is no help with your bags.

Outstanding B&B in heart of Siena.
We were there for 2 nights. Management could not have been more accommodating. Siena is a jewel from a tourist perspective. The Cathedral's (Duomo)interior is exquisite - the finest I've ever seen. Outshine's Florence's Duomo and that's saying a lot.

Nice, comfortable stay.
A very nice stay which was quite central to everything. The room was large and comfortable and the two seater table was very useful - nice to have somewhere else to sit rather than the bed. just a few minutes walk from the bus stop. Our hosts were helpful and breakfast was lovely.

Great location, decent residential style B&B
Nice place, even if very hard to locate. It's tucked away on the third floor of a building with a tiny, tiny sign out front that you will miss. Back the open air entryway past the florist and to an elevator that sits tucked behind a set of doors. Up to the third floor, then walk down a half flight of stairs to the left and you finally see the door. Roberto was nice and we both rode Ducati m/c's, so we had that in common. Room was huge (12) and right next to the breakfast nook. Breakfast was basic, but good. Cappuccino was first rate. The best part of this place is the location! Right next to the Campo and all the shops and historic center of Siena. Good recommends on dinner. The wifi, however is pretty terrible. That needs an upgrade. Pillows were awful (polyfill yuck and hard) and the best was very firm, which some may appreciate.

Do Not Stay at This Hotel
My son and I had two rooms that I reserved at the Palazzo Fani Magnanelli in July, 2015. The weather was almost unbearably hot, with temperatures ranging from 37 to 39 degrees C. during the days we were there. The rooms we had were poorly air conditioned. When we complained, the person on duty just shrugged. The air conditioning would turn off after running for about 15 minutes and never fully cooling the rooms. It was impossible to sleep. There were many other problems. The entrance to the hotel smells like a sewer and the hotel attempts to mask this during the day by spreading fresh flowers around. The sheets in the rooms were dirty. The rooms themselves were small. The continental breakfast was quite basic and served by a scowling old woman. The hotel's main and perhaps only advantage was its location, which is on the main street very close to the historic centre of Siena. According to the list of room prices posted, the regular room price is 200 euros. No-one should ever pay even half of that for a hotel of this quality. I will warn friends against using this hotel if they ever visit Siena in future.

Wow
Our only regret is that we stayed just one night in Siena. The city is magnificent, and the B&B is a perfect place to experience it from. The front door is just steps from Piazza del Campo, right along the main drag behind the top of its outer rim. From our window we witnessed the victors of the Palio di Siena horse race thumping their drums (and their chests) most of the evening as they marched through the streets celebrating their win. The staff was quite friendly and they provided a nice breakfast for us. I highly recommend this and hope to stay here again.

Its an absulute gem!
Wow, what a gem of a place! Excellent location on the main pedestrianised streets although the hotel is really hard to find. You needs your wits about you to locate it. However, the property which is in an old palazzio is wonderful with very large rooms & good bathrooms & makes a great change from the usual hotel layout.Staff at reception were hugely helpful & made every effort to make sure we didn't need anything. Forget the complimentary breakfast; its useless. Go outside and eat at one of the many eateries within a few minutes of the hotel.
