“Quiet and restful nights of sleep despite being a motorway services- you couldnt hear any traffic noise at all from the hotel. Staff were very friendly. No breakfast pptions but part of motorway services complex, so amenities nearby for any basic needs. We were perfectly happy with our roomwith rehard to location, cleanliness, facilities etc but a few small issues as follows: No floor mat for the bathroom -only a slip mat for in the shower, so although you could use the shower mat in the……

“Upon checking in was greeted by an unfriendly team member who was not welcoming. There is no lift in this hotel so we had to take our luggage down stairs and then upstairs which was horribly inconvenient. The room was ok but with no air conditioning it was much hotter inside than it was outside. There was a fan in the room that could have been turned on for us but wasn’t. There was only one towel in the bathroom, so my husband and I had to share as when we realized it was too late to request……

“This is a wonderful property with lots of historic charm and stunning scenery right on the doorstep! I stayed 4 nights and Karen really looked after me; delicious cooked breakfast each morning and a newly lit fire in the evenings to sit beside. She gave me a tour of her gorgeous garden and introduced me to her feathered friends; the chickens, cockerel and pheasant as well as her lovely dogs. Her knowledge of the house and area is really insightful and Karen was more than happy to advise where……
