“We rented for a weekend to spend thanksgiving with my dad. All the kids came up so we needed a place to stay. This place is so cute, homie and very convenient for us. The decor was perfect.. represented the lake and the space center. The craftsmanship put into the this cute rental is amazing- not cheaply done. The bed was comfy and the shower we fell in love with. “Steele Magnolia is a rare gem. Cozy, comfy, clean, and peaceful. Host was great about communicating directions and we found fresh banana bread when we arrived. So glad we found this cottage. We chose it because the location was the halfway point to our southern Alabama destination. We were so pleased, we’ve already booked the cottage for our return trip. The Steele area has lots to offer nature lovers so this is a great place for a longer stay. Fabulous screened porch, too!”

“House was very big on the inside, plenty of seating in living room. Loveseat has some very bad stains and hallway bathtub was not clean. There were not enough towels, wash clothes for my family of 8. The bed with the twin on top had stained linens and not enough pillows. No extra blankets to use. Owner was super nice to work with and very accommodating. I would stay again. Sometimes the owner is not aware of the issues if no one post. ”

When we booked the house, stated times were check in: 3:00 and check out: 11:00. Upon arrival, we were informed those times had changed to 4:00 and 10:00. Owner honored original times.”

Pillows were as thin as a piece of paper and there were no extra pillows/blankets. Saw several dead and live roaches over the course of 3 day stay. Sheets smelled stale and we had to wash ourselves before willing to sleep on them. Over all would not return to this property.”
