Erica was such a fantastic, helpful host--always promptly responding to any questions I had. From the stellar reviews, I knew the cabin would be terrific, but it exceeded all expectations. It was cozy (but quite spacious) and comfortable, with lots of thoughtful touches throughout--and with modern tech available. I prepared all meals there during my stay, and the kitchen was well-equipped. It took a while to get used to driving on the essentially one-lane, winding roads for several miles to access the cabin, but it contributed to the experience! The husky and I daily hiked various trails in and around the Red River Gorge, and seeing and driving through the Nada Tunnel was a highlight! Unprecedented high winds caused an area-wide outage a few hours before our arrival and throughout our stay. This was no fault of the owner/property manager. Erica was in constant communication with us on power company updates, and even offered to bring over a generator to power a few things. The cabin is so well equipped, a generator was not needed. A little conservation made the hot water last, battery powered lanterns were already on site, charcoal grill and fire pit allowed us to cook using the cast iron skillets provided. We used our cooler for refrigeration. Cabin retained most of the heat and bedding was warm and comfy - we didn’t even need to wear extra layers. Erica is an excellent host and I highly recommend this property. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely book again. ##### Karen S.
