Covid Chaos
I would have rated this hotel excellent had we been able to go on our “super trip”because we stayed here 2 years ago and decided to return again to “paradise”. Due to Covid, all European travel has been banned to Americans but Hotels.com does not see this as a valid reason for full refund! We spoke directly to the hotel and were told to deal with our third party site for a full refund. We’ve been embattled with Hotels.com for several months trying to rationalize our dilemma and why we feel reimbursement should be granted under the circumstances especially since 2 other couples we were traveling with received their refund with no issues. I originally had a booking of 3 nights fully refundable and when I added a extra night, was unaware that it changed the total stay to non refundable, which is totally ridiculous under the circumstances of this whole world right now! We’ve been a member of Hotels.com for a number of years and are being treated very unfairly. Every other hotel and multiple airlines have refunded us no questions asked. We will not be using this site again and suggest to seek other sites for your travel plans. The worst run company we’ve ever dealt with and will continue to escalate our case with our credit card company.
