Cold

Pros: Staff were friendly and welcoming
Cons: Heating in the rooms and cleanliness
Location: Excellent location, as can park in the car park, leave car and then go shopping in West Quay.
Reception was very welcoming, very Christmassy. Room unfortunately was over the main function room so was very noisy with music. Why not put guests who are not with the party, higher up or other side to the function room. The room was cold, blower would not blow out hot or even warm air. Rang reception and they immediately sent up a heater. So obviously warmth in rooms is a problems as there were others outside rooms in the morning on leaving the rooms.

An okay hotel for short term stay

The breakfast is very good and it is walking distance to the tourist attractions. Room and bed was just OK.

Central to everything

Very clean and comfortable, central location to shops and restaurants, only down sides were having to pay for parking in hotel car park and the high price of breakfasts .

Pros: Friendly helpful staff
Very late arrival but still met by friendly reception staff - even got me a beer after my long travel day !! Wake up call in the morning and taxi ordered all on time, no complaints at all.

Rooms look really dated and design is horrible.

Staff was frendly but rooms veey dated, no taste. Fridge had stains and overall I found it overpriced

Would not stay again not child friendly

I dont like giving bad reviews but this hotel was not worth the price paid Booked 2 double beds and got a sofa bed and double bed so uncomfortable and hard also found old babybel chese under bed and crisps , the swimming pool is dangerous for children no kids pool so was real deep also the food was so expensive and breakfast 15 pound each we had to eat out the big thing was if you have children dont stay as they have events there and music from dj blarred so loudly all night kept awake with it plus the boiler in the room making noise every hour.

Good for pre-cruise

Nice hotel, ideally located for cruise port as well as main city area. Everything in Southampton in easy walking distance.

Good hotel for cruisers

Pros: Minimalist décor.
Cons: A lot of customers chose to hang around lobby to use computers and socialize. It was rather busy upon check in.
Location: Good location. Nearby mall was set up for quick shopping and dining. Quick taxi ride to more interesting restaurants in town.
Simple, efficient and close to pier. Front desk staff are helpful.

Disappointing

Booked as a real treat for my husband’s special birthday and it didn’t match up to the photos so we were disappointed. Our room was tired looking and not modern like the photos suggested. The swimming pool is tiny but clean and we had it to ourselves, which was lovely. It was useful having the interactive table in reception to amuse our 3year old. However it would be nice if the kids’ toys were cleaned up...everything had been thrown in a box with every piece missing from each jigsaw. As it was for a special occasion, we were really disappointed.

The bar food and staff was very unsatisfactory was e were ignored then a bad attitude with the waitress the food was very poor and not the same as on the menu the bar manager chose to argue with us although he apologised after it spoiled our day as we had been to the zoo and just wanted to feed the children and retire as they weee tired and hungry they did not eat the food and the bar manager did not charge us
