Relaxing Time at the Beachcomber!

My husband and I along with two friends enjoyed our stay here at this cute little cottage! We didn’t arrive until very late since we were coming from a concert in Stillwater, yet we still got lots of enjoyment out of our one night stay! The lake view was beautiful And enjoyed the eatery on site. We ordered from the brunch menu and had zero complaints. The host and property manager were very flexible and accommodating from the time of booking until departure. It’s in a beautiful location, just a little difficult and curvy route when trying to locate late at night. We would definitely stay here again!

Amazing stay

Brought my husband, sister, teenager and toddler here. We all enjoyed the cottage very much. The A/C kept this place very cold during the hot time that we visited. We rented a boat and enjoyed that as well. Very nice view from the back patio. Only disappointment was that you cannot fish or swim anywhere within a 10-15 minute walking distance, unless you are on a boat. Not a reflection of the cottage, just an assumption I had made when reserving. All staff are very friendly and the restaurant/store about a 2 minute walk away are phenomenal. Overall, we had a great time!

VRBO Mix Up

The property was lovely. However,due to VRBO's double booking, it was somewhat of a nightmare! The property we booked had a ramp and since I use a walker and cannot do steps it was awful. It is too long of a story to tell you how bad it was but VRBO needs to do a better job because according to the property this happens often with VRBO bookings.

Beautiful unique lake location

Stunning area. Our family of 7 throughly enjoyed our quick stay. We were just passing through, but this quaint little lake area is a hidden treasure that could be enjoyed all week. We used the fire pit out front overlooking the lake in the evening, beds were comfortable, and staff was friendly. Highly Recommend.

Lovely cottage by the lake

I bravely took my daughter and her girlfriends to the lake to celebrate her 16th birthday. The cottage was just what we needed. We loved the lake views, we even saw a bald eagle. The cottage was clean and any issues we had were quickly addressed by the management. We had plenty of room for 8. Fire pit and backyard were especially enjoyed!

Good spot for a long weekend!

Overall very good impresion. The only complain that we have is cleanliness. Outside on the veranda, there were a lot of of old cobwebs and also the grill was very dirty. Except of that, all was good and we recommend it!

Really perfect place for our little October family stay. So roomy, up to date appliances, beautiful wood, beach decor. Staff very helpful. A couple of unrelated items we provided direct feedback upon checking out. Slow draining tub, a minor inconveniece. Outside party next door till 2 a.m., a disturbance. Staff said if we had contacted them, they would have shut it down.

Amazing location!

We enjoyed our stay at the Beachcomber cottage! Three adults and two kids and there was plenty of space, even entertaining several more people. Incredible views of the lake and amazing sunsets to watch from the porches! Just a quick walk down to the marina if you wanted to rent a boat and there was a restaurant though we didn't get a chance to try it. House had plenty of towels and the basics in the kitchen. Our only con of the stay against many pros: the queen beds were not very comfortable, and one was so noisy my husband and I woke each other up all night rolling over.
