Fantastic weekend away! The management gave us an upgrade for our special weekend. The hotel has a nice atmosphere.

Would recommend this hotel very clean and staff are very friendly and happy to help air-conditioning very good. Would Abby stay again?

This apartment had great space and really useful cooking facilities. A dishwasher and washing machine in such a small apartment were useful for a longer stay, although we didn't use the later for our 3 night break. It's really convenient for the City centre and even closer to the Millennium Stadium, although I bet prices for major events there are much higher. Cardiff is a great city and certainly cheaper than Lincoln where we live. Strongly recommend a visit.

Disappointed stay. It's been a while since we last stayed. We found the property had seriously declined. For such a beautiful, historical building the standard of cleanliness, maintenance & breakfast really does the building no justice. The corridors, were grubby, obviously mopped but not to the borders / edges. There was obvious dirt and marks. The beautiful glass doors were dirty, glass smudged, sellotape marks left on glass, brass not cleaned. The room, the bed was clean and comfortable. However the furniture was chipped, stained and ring marked. The windows were open, net curtains were grubby. There was a fan and heater in the room. I later found that the air-conditioning did not work, on a warm muggy night! The bathroom, absolutely awful! The sealant around bath was loose, a lot of tiles had obviously been removed and stuck back on, they were raised and stood prominent, the grouting was terrible! Just scruffy! The mirror above the washbasin was too high for me to look in ( I'm 5'3"). The mirror above bath was dirty. No working fan in the bathroom. Breakfast, hardly any continental choice. ( Pain au Chocolat, cheese and crumpets / toast. Requested fried eggs, no only scrambled eggs. Asked for a pot of hot water for my tea, they brought it out in a mug. However the reception staff were attentive, efficient and friendly. That it the only positive I can think of apart from the beautiful building. Such a shame.
