The Nordic Light Hotel is a modern hotel situated in the centre of Stockholm. Its location is outstanding for the tourist. Most sightseeing venues are within leisurely walk from the hotel, and the principal shopping area couple of minutes’ walk away. Moreover, the Arlanda Express (linking to the airport) is literally next door, and the Bus terminal, where the Airport bus terminates, as well as the Central Railway station are within a 5-minute walk. The room we were allocated was very small, without sufficient space to accommodate two persons, and it should not have been advertised as such. As a result, everything is crammed and accessing amenities is awkward; storage facilities are limited (no drawers). The walls are bare, with no effort being made to make the room more pleasing. We found the beds very comfortable. The number of TV channels was very limited and targeted towards Scandinavian visitors. Sport Channels were conspicuous by their absence. Similarly, the bathroom was tiny, and one could not turn around without hitting him/herself on something.
The breakfast was more than adequate, providing a good choice of cold and hot items; the coffee was decidedly awful. All the staff we came across were marvellous; knowledgeable, helpful, and charming. The hotel is maintained in pristine condition with a very high standard of cleanliness.
My impression is that the target clientele of this hotel is businesspeople that spend very little time awake in the room; the tourist demands
