“Host there to welcome us when we arrived. He helped to carry in the luggage and showed us how the hot water and heating worked. Amenities were ideal with breakfast food items included plus a bottle of Prosecco and shortbread as a thoughtful Christmas gift. The property had been decorated for Christmas - another kind and thoughtful touch. The property was spotlessly clean and had everything that we needed. The bed was extremely comfortable. Thank you to the hosts. ”

“Great house lovely owner - think there should be more info on the bathroom . En suite bathroom - difficult stairs and v small bath but otherwise a great house. Outside furniture and barb q could have an upgrade ,”

“Was a big scare when we reached the apartment and found out this was no one there for check in & no instruction sent before our arrival. In this remote location, the mobile connection is bad and I luckily able connected to WiFi in an indian Resturant. Found an old email thread, replied to it and luckily i received a Uk phone number to call for self check in instruction. Felt quite worried at the beginning with my wife and boys and about where we sleep . Not a good experience ”

“All good except the front door step unsafe, the wind took one of the fence panels and the wheelie bins so couldn’t do rubbish and a man turned up to fix the taps but we refused entry as we had no notification or expectation of visit.”

“Nicely put together house. Handy for Oakham town centre, shops, pubs etc. 20 mins to Burghley House. Comfy beds. However, please do provide guests with a bit more info about what’s what in the house…A long mirror in the double room and a loo brush in the bathroom would be useful additions”
