Lovely old building and themed rooms. We were allocated the China room as we told the hotel ahead of time we were celebrating our Sapphire wedding anniversary so it was lovely that it was all blue. My only criticism was that in hindsight, it was a very expensive hotel with no reception, no spa (we booked into the orange grove for treatments but assumed it was a proper spa with swimming pool only to find it was just rooms adjacent to the hotel.) £210 per night was a tad over the top just for a room and take away breakfast. Breakfast was a selection from the bakers within the hotel where we were able to choose 1 sweet, 1 savoury, one piece of fruit and a drink… however, the savoury dishes were not delivered until 10am so well past our breakfast time. We were however able to eat it outside in the sunshine at tables provided. I think the setting was lovely but we could have got far more for our money elsewhere

Pleasant hotel with spa facilities about 20 minutes drive from Norwich. Having a good size pool with steam room, sauna and jacuzzi was really useful. Breakfast was excellent - usual buffet with the addition of cooked to order items such as avocado toast, eggs Benedict, etc. Lack of aircon in the bedrooms was a serious deficiency - not helped by the room being fairly small. Bathroom was very cramped. Lack of a fridge was also a disappointment. Especially as there was a cupboard under the TV obviously designed to hold a fridge. On the whole I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to be in close driving proximity to Norwich and wants spa facilities - but steer clear of warmer months.
