Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
My wife and I stayed at the property a couple of years ago. The staff are always friendly, check in was quick. Breakfast was very good. Only complaint is the property is tired and in need of a face lift. I would still recommend it for an overnight as it is handy to the highway
The room was clean. I liked the note that said high touch areas were cleaned with hospital grade disinfectant. This made me feel that the room was cleaned thoroughly. The staff was friendly, breakfast was delicious and the parking was convenient. I give this place an A+.
This property is slightly older but the upkeep on hotel has been good. It was clean and maintained well. Breakfast was offered and a good start to the day.
We booked 2 rooms at the Sleep Inn in Summersville, WV for 1 night last weekend and my family was pleasantly surprised. We have stayed at Choice properties before but not this one. It was very clean, and the staff was friendly and efficient from the front desk to housekeeping, and especially the breakfast staff. We never have high expectations for complimentary breakfast, but this location really raised the bar. Not only were there plenty of hot/cold/convenient items, but the employee covering our breakfast time clearly took pride in keeping the area stocked and clean. And she was friendly too! Highly recommend Sleep Inn in Summersville, WV if you're visiting the New River and Hawk's Nest areas. We'll definitely be back!
My family has stayed at this Sleep Inn for YEARS and this year, after check-in we did notice: lobby was clean, some front desk clerks didn't even lift their head to acknowledge anyone passing by to exit the hotel or entering the hotel, landscape beds were not well-maintained, the safety bar in the shower was completely lose from the surround (no way would this help anyone about to slip). We travel with our 9lb dog, the corridor of our pet friendly room smelled like it hadn't been disinfected recently. I think the most inconvenient issue we experienced was the fact we had to have our room key cards 'reactivated' EVERY day.
