Wonderful place to gather!

We had a family gathering with our Great Great Grandma (5 generations) and it was a huge joy and blessing to have this wonderful home to share our family memories in.

Great family space

This large house was just perfect for our family stay in Washington. It's about an hour outside the city, close to shopping and eating in Tacoma, and an hour from MT Rainer. GREAT LOCATION!

Family Vacation

Perfect location to enjoy all that the Seattle area has to offer. The house was perfect for a big group with many ages. John was a fantastic host! Highly recommend this property.

Delightful retreat

We stayed here for the weekend and were all so impressed with how clean and adorable this house is. The views from the porch are beautiful, and it’s very peaceful. Check in was easy. Would definitely stay here again!

Our family’s reunion, over the Christmas holiday, at this charming, historic, and creatively updated “Retreat” was purely delightful. The accommodations met and exceeded our needs. It was also conveniently located to all the goods and services we needed. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Sumner Farm House

This was the perfect multi-family house. Three floors, 6 bedrooms and numerous common areas. It was exactly what we needed for our trip. The owners were incredibly flexible with our itinerary and the property was exactly as advertised.

Family wedding weekend

This property was perfect for our stay. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Absolutely beautiful location. The owner was the best host we have ever rented from. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Hoping we’ll be able to take advantage of another weeks stay on our next trip to Lake Tapps area. Perfect!!

Wedding week stay!

We rented this property so that many of our friends from across the country could come together to celebrate our wedding. The house was huge, with three floors and more than enough room for all of us to hang out, reconnect, and have a little privacy to sleep at the end of the day. This place was perfect for our needs, and we will forever remember it as our 'base of operations' before we headed out to get married and throw an excellent reception party!

Appreciated Good Communication

Lovely home, very communicative owner, appreciated the minimalist approach to décor. A little disappointed that the outdoor clubhouse was not usable for the children we brought with us. We were looking forward to some play out there, but it was unkempt and dirty.

Youngest daughters wedding

We had a great experience with our stay. Our youngest daughter and future son-in-law at the time we're married nearby and we were looking for a place for our family which some of them came in from out of state including us from another state that ranged in all ages. It was the perfect place and setting to relax have fun to catch up on all of the families activities. We would highly recommend this home for any family or friends get away. The home was exactly as advertised and everything we needed plus the great surroundings were just as we hoped. We will definitely love to stay day at this home again. John the host was excellent and very helpful. Definitely the best time we've had in years. Thank you John!!!

Most Disappointing Rental Experience!

Within one week, we stayed in two separate VRBOs. The first was the best; this was the worst. After checking in, we realized the door to the loft area was locked. On contacting the owner, he replied that I knew I paid for only part of the house and that for $450 he would have his co-host come unlock the door. Everything from VRBO indicated I had paid for six bedrooms and four bathrooms. I never would have reserved this house if I had known we would only get four bedrooms. The space was not adequate for our needs. I contacted VRBO immediately through the chat platform which was not helpful. On returning home, I reached out to the owner with screenshots of my receipts from VRBO and my account details page to request his acknowledgment that I believed I had paid for the whole house. Since the email trying to charge me more money, the owner has never communicated again. This was the most disappointing vacation rental experience!

Family retirement celebration

Celebrating retirement after a 44 1/2 year career with the same company, for my husband! Our family of 16 - 9 adults/7 grandchildren, loved the spacious farmhouse, and grounds. So family friendly! Highly recommend .

Family Time in the Country

This home was perfect for our family of 16! We stayed for four days the first week of August. The layout of the house provided enough space for us to be together for meals or TV watching, and yet when we wanted to have some alone time, we could do that, too. We loved the wraparound porch and the beautiful grounds The house was clean and well maintained. The host contacted me prior to our arrival to let me know that the dishwasher was broken, and he graciously provided enough paper plates, bowls, cups, and plastic ware to accommodate our needs. We would definitely highly recommend this property!

The Perfect Place

We were 4 adults and 7 kids and everyone had their own space inside and out. The house had everything and more than we needed. The owner was responsive and worked with us when we submitted a request. Thank you John for making it a wonderful weekend for all.
