Very disappointing, cleanliness and condition of the rooms were unacceptable. Unfortunately, our stay at the Village Inn in Blowing Rock, North Carolina, was extremely disappointing. From the moment we walked toward our room, we were concerned about the cleanliness and overall condition of the property. The doormats to all the rooms we passed were filthy – trash and hair covered, as though they had not been swept for days or weeks. The wood-slated screen doors were stained and mold covered. When we opened the door to the first room given, we were immediately overwhelmed by a strong musty and urine-smelling odor. Inside, there were visible dust bunnies on the floor and dust on the furniture and drapes. The furniture also had large stains. The bathroom was extremely small and smelly, with virtually no place to put our personal belongings. The bathroom drapery had a thick layer of dust on it. The bathroom floor and shower floor were unclean and the tiles laced with mold and mildew. Because we were so uncomfortable with the condition of the property and room, we immediately contacted the hotel clerk and let her know that the room was unacceptable and that we did not want to stay there. However, after consulting the hotel manager, the desk clerk told us that we could not receive a refund for the full three nights of our trip. We stayed one night and checked out before 11 o’clock the next morning. This was so disappointing that we ended our trip to Blowing Rock and went home.

Really nice. It was me the neice and my 2 aunts and my uncle. We try and take a trip every so often. We really enjoyed our little time here together.
