Ideal for a large family or a group of friends, our peaceful and pleasant cottage has all the elements of comfort for a great stay. From this country house, it will only take you an hour to reach the mountain or the ocean. many activities, tours and ballads are also available in the township and surrounding towns. The house is located 5 minutes from Gave d'Oloron - a fishing area of the 1st category among the most interesting of France for fishing.

Initial impression was that the photographs in the listing made the property appear much brighter than it actually was.Our hosts were very helpful, in particular driving for over an hour to rescue us after we’d had a blowout on our hire car.

Wonderful Stay

We had a terrific stay at Ken and Shona's rental. The house was full of character, very comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen in a quiet and scenic neighbourhood. As cyclists, it was a great spot to launch a bike ride from with countless quiet backroads that were picturesque beyond belief. The house was close to all amenities and it was easy to busier roads/highways to travel to other towns and cities such as Pau, Bayonne etc. The pet donkeys were a special treat and we looked forward to seeing them in the mornings while drinking our coffee in the backyard. Shona and Ken were incredibly helpful and responsive to any questions we had. We would highly recommend this house!

Peaceful base

This property is in a quiet village conveniently located to all of your basic needs. Ken was friendly and directed to us tp fun local activities and restaurants. This property was easy to book and we received quick responses to our inquiries. I highly recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We had a great 2 week stay. Property exactly as described, wonderful fresh bread from the local bakery 5 mins away. Memorable day trips , relaxing evenings. Would recommend. Friendly, helpful hosts .

Ken and Shona are wonderful hosts

Ken and Shona welcome was awesome, very responsive, immediately addressed the Internet access issue after the storm strike and any other request we made (not too many I hope). Ideally located between mountains and sea. Spacious enough for the 6 of us and the wood was readied for the barbecue!!! Thank you for everything.
