"Nice hotel, friendly and very helpful staff. Hotel is very close to the beautiful Matsumoto Castle. Further walk to the station (about 15 minutes), and to restaurants, but overall I liked it."

"It was a nice Japanes experience with the futon on the floor. Only two points negative. There was no towels for the shower unless you rented it for 200 yen. Breakfast was only croissants with coffee, juice,butter and jam. "

"If you're looking for an onsen experience this is the place! We were welcomed as we drove up the windy mountain road to the hotel. The check in experience was calm and efficient. Dinner, breakfast and private bath times chosen. The baths are wonderfull, overlooking the river and with views down the forested valley. Dinner and breakfast were amazing, although our kids sadly didn't feel adventurous enough. It was a truly magical experience on our first trip to Japan."
