Hotel Republika was a terrific option for my family. It is rare in a city to have a boutique hotel experience, complete with parking, that remains a short walk to the main attractions of the area. The space was large and well designed, and even had two bathrooms for a two-bedroom unit. Perfect combination of quiet/peaceful space to use as a home base, but close enough to walk to the heart of the city.

Grand old hotel, nice large rooms, well renovated. No pool, nowhere to sit and sun lounge outside. You need to walk to Oceanside « clubs » to pay for a lounge chair and umbrella. No beaches nearby. We took hotel’s half-board, food quality was fair to mediocre. Many choices, but bland, tasteless. Expensive parking and wine list.

"A really well presented hotel in a very good spot. The room was excellent, with only a drawback being that it was unclear how to close the windows which meant there was some noise into the night (though this may be my problem, more than the hotel's). It was a really lovely breakfast as well."
