"There were ants in the bed, bathroom etc. We had a couple of rooms and it had ants in both of them. Basic amenities were not present - Shampoo was there but had to call them to get conditioner. Bell boys were amazing and very helpful, but the rest of the staff was only okay to deal with. AC didn't work in the room for the first night and then had to call someone to fix it the next day. Overall, avoid the hotel if you can."

"What an awesome stay!! Upon check in we were warmly greeted by Branko! The grounds and pools were impressive. Our room was spacious, cleaned daily and had excellent AC! The 2 pools helped bear the hea as well! The daily breakfast was delicious, healthy, flavourful and healthy!! Frank and staff were wonderfully kind and caring. We highly recommend and would return in a heartbeat."

"The hotel was outstanding! Room was large and comfortable, with every imaginable amenity available. Everything was high tech and top quality, and the location was unbeatable, just steps away from the ferry port and the main attractions in the island. Breakfast was great, and service fantastic, including awesome recommendations for tour guides and restaurants. Overall, an outstanding experience in Hvar, and could not recommend Villa Porta Maestra enough."
