Everything perfect.

This resort was a disappointment. Everything was a bit old and tired, not the "resort" experience we had in mind. And it is really isolated from everything that we wanted to do, which meant long drives to the locations for hikes and attractions. Finally, the staff seemed quite indifferent, not at all engaged.

I was very disappointed with my stay at Fort Young Hotel. When I made my reservation, it clearly stated that breakfast was included. However, upon arrival, I was told that breakfast was not included. This felt like false advertising and was a very frustrating way to begin my stay. In addition, several female staff members were rude, unhelpful, and lacked professionalism. Unfortunately, I also observed what appeared to be preferential treatment toward white guests. On one occasion, I had been waiting to be served first, yet a white couple who arrived after me was assisted before I was. Experiences like this made me feel overlooked and unwelcome. I also noticed staff frequently speaking to one another about guests in their native language, seemingly assuming no one could understand them. Regardless of the language being spoken, this behavior is unprofessional and disrespectful. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that my family is from Dominica. I was incredibly excited to visit my family’s homeland and looked forward to staying at Fort Young Hotel, but my experience fell far short of my expectations. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this hotel, and I do not plan to return. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and works to improve both customer service and the overall guest experience.

What impressed me most was the feet dim lights when going to the bathroom areas. The AC was very cold fridge worked very well The bed was clean and firm. You got robe slippers and chargers for phones. The food was amazing with heavy duty silverware different not like the regular plain silverware. What I found need to slightly adjust is the outdoor set up it was to close to other sitting areas the tables were to big so it looked cluttered. Lastly I was on the top floor I believe I was probably the only person at the premium level and at nights the took off the lights in the corridor walkway which I think they should kerp on it was dark walking in that area. Other than that Great service and most importantly CLEAN. I guess it was still new hopefully they upkeep the level.
