This is my go-to place to hike when I don't want to drive far but still feel like I'm getting away. Amazing long range views which include the Appalachian mountains and even the Charlotte skyline. Miles and miles of trails and steep, rocky climbs and two separate peaks; Crowders peak and Kings Pinnacle. The Pinnacle trail is a pleasant 2 miles trek uphill through rich forest. The last little bit has some rock scrambling with signs that urge carefulness. But the views are stupendous, especially with fall colors in full display.
