the road leading to porto katsiki beach is simply awful, be prepared !The beach is amazing,one of the most scenic i have ever seen!

The beach of Porto Katsiki on the Ionian island of Levkada is considered to be one of the best beaches in Greece. It's location is fabulous. Porto Katsiki means "Port of goat", named like this because only a goat used to be able to reach this beach. Now there is a paved road, but nevertheless a very narrow path. From the parking lot you can get down by a long staircase. It's a pebbled beach and in peak season it can get very crowded. We were lucky to be alone on this #beach
