I love that the village is tradition with no large hotels or obnoxious buildings to ruin the amazing natural scenery. The beach is great with little to no waves during the dry season making it great for swimming, snorkeling, diving, kayaking, and paddle boarding! The area around the island is a national marine park so hopefully that will keep the development down and continue to encourage eco-toursim! At either end of the bay are two freshwater lagoons that drain into the ocean. They make a great place for kayaking, mooring small boats, and swimming. If you are not familiar with the area you should get a guide to take you as the jungle is thick and the path is not defined very well. It is a great place to cool off - the water is actually really cold - but a great refresher after hiking to it.
