Neptune’s Fountain (Fontanna Neptuna) is one of the most instantly recognizable landmarks of Gdańsk’s Old Town. Measuring 344 feet (105 meters) long and with a 256-foot-tall (78-meter) tower, this is one of the world’s largest brick churches. Here, multimedia and genuine artifacts retell the nation’s fight for freedom and its effect on the countries of Central and Eastern Europe. This cultural center opened in 2014, on the 34th anniversary of the August Agreements, an accord signed between the Polish government and Gdańsk dockworkers.
