In 1628 the Vasa battleship set sail from Stockholm’s harbor on its maiden voyage; however, it capsized just minutes after departure. Over 300 years later, marine archeologists rescued the ship and in 1990 made it a public museum.

Stockholm Royal Palace (Stockholms Slott) is a Baroque-style palace located in Stockholm’s Old Town. Built in the 1700s, today it’s an official residence of the Swedish royal family.
