"The location is on the edge of a quiet village and with only subtle sounds of frogs from the pond and whinnies from the horse it was bliss. This was our 2nd stay and would love to come back again. Transport is required to access local shops but the ride out is so lovely it isnt a worry. We stayed for the 80th anniversary of D-Day and found it a good base to stay for the events. "Les Iris is a very beautiful, traditional house. We were warmly welcomed by Christine on arrival, the house was clean and well equipped, with a delightful garden sloping down towards the village 'green' and the river. There is ample seating to eat outside when the weather allows. A car is a must as there aren't any facilities within walking distance of the house. The village itself is charming, with mostly thatched 'chaumieres', it would benefit from a bar or taverne or cafe or basic shop, but...
