7.6/10 Good! (1,000 reviews)
I rarely leave reviews, but this place was hard to figure out so doing it for those who are confused by the review whiplash on this one. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in many humble hotels, so part of me dismissed the more challenging reviews. Here’s my honest one.
Pros: The staff at the hotel are helpful, kind and clearly doing their best with what they have.
Cons: Desperately needs capital investment - crumbling exterior metalwork held together with wood, threadbare carpet, worn paint everywhere, and black mold in the room.
How could such a one time stunning building with world class views and a fantastic staff be worn to threads? It’s owned by a Singaporean holding company that should take a closer look at the state of their investment.
